We carry out our activities in accordance with Decree 268/2010 (XII. 3.) on the Governmental Information-Technology Development Agency.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

We develop and operate IT infrastructures and provide services based on them for Hungarian public education, higher education, research institutions and public collections.

HIGH LEVEL PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE

In the recent years, we have participated in the implementation of more than 110 projects, of which the total value exceeded 495 billion HUF. In order to achieve the project goals cost-effectively, we also carry out independent quality assurance in about 50 key IT and organizational development projects out of a total of 245 billion HUF. The implementation of Hungary's largest broadband infrastructure development program to date, the Superfast Internet Program (SZIP) is linked to our organization. The aim of the SZIP is to provide access to super-fast internet connection for all Hungarian families, businesses and public institutions that requires. In accordance with the principles set out in the Digital Education Strategy, we will develop digital education infrastructure in consultation with the maintainers of the institution. Within the Student Network Program (Diákháló), we will modernize network access in thousands of schools and provide internet access that meets the current needs. Komondor, one of the most modern supercomputer systems in the Central European region is also being developed at KIFÜ. The total performance of the supercomputer under the HPC Program is 5 pflops. With nearly four hundred colleagues, we pay close attention to sharing our experience and knowledge. With our activities and operation, we strive to serve the digitalization and the digital transformation in Hungary.
